High Performance Computing

High-performance computing (HPC) services are provided by OIT to support the core university mission of instruction, research, and engagement. To be sure these resources are used effectively, they must be in support of a project directed by a faculty member. This faculty member is ultimately responsible for ensuring that HPC services are used appropriately by all accounts associated with their project.

HPC projects are available at no charge to all NC State faculty members on request. Once a project is established, any number of Unity IDs can be authorized to access to HPC resources under that project. However, a Unity ID can only be under one project at any given time.
