Personal Web Space

The College of Engineering offers free personal web space to all faculty, staff, and students in the college. Users may use this space for anything they wish, so long as they comply with university policy. Here’s what’s included:

• Personalized URL in the form of https://people.engr.ncsu.edu/<unityid>
• Up to 2GB of web-accessible file storage
• Up to 2GB of private file storage
• Scripting with PHP 7.2
• Optional MariaDB database

Qualifying users may request access via the Locker Portal.

Note that upon leaving the university, your personal web space will be archived and removed. We will send you a copy of the archive.

Effective in the fall 2022 semester, Engineering IT is no longer offering personal web space service. Please use one of the services offered by NC State — Google Sites or WordPress.
