User Agreement
Tecplot 360 EX is made available to you through the College of Engineering's license. The NC State College of Engineering is ordering the right for you to use Tecplot 360 EX for academic-related purposes. Installation of Tecplot 360 EX on a computer owned by a business other than NC State University is strictly prohibited. You are authorized to use Tecplot 360 EX while you are enrolled in, or employed by, NC State. Your acceptance of this agreement indicates that you understand and will comply with the requirements of the Tecplot 360 EX license: I understand that I will not give this download to anyone else nor install it on anyone else's computer for them. I understand that redistribution of this software is strictly prohibited and is a violation of the terms and conditions of the license agreement and the NC State University Computing Policy.

After installation, take the following steps to activate the software.

  1. Run Tecplot. When prompted with a "Licensing" window, select "Network License server"
  2. Then enter the License server name of: tecplot.eos.ncsu.edu
    Note that off-campus users must connect to the NCSU VPN in order to reach the license server.
  3. Click OK.
  4. You can check the licensing status by going to Help > Tecplot 360 Licensing...
