If you have a Mac, or can’t run SAP2000 on your own computer for any reason, you can run SAP2000 via AVD (create a reservation and select the "Eos-lab" or CCEE-Software" environment).
General Notes
SAP2000 Licensing Update
- CSI now provides the full-featured SAP2000 Ultimate for instructional use, replacing the limited Student Demo (which was available until 2024). The instructional license costs the same as the research license, and CCEE covers this annually.
- SAP2000 can be installed on both NCSU-owned and student-owned devices.
- Licensing now requires signing in with a CSI account. See the installation instructions for more info.
- SAP2000 is also available via VCL in the "Eos-lab" and "CCEE-Software" environments.

SAP2000 Ultimate (for instructional use) is made available to you through the College of Engineering's SAP2000 Ultimate license. The NC State College of Engineering is ordering the right for you to use SAP2000 Ultimate (for instructional use) for academic-related purposes. Installation of this software on a computer owned by a business other than NC State University is strictly prohibited. You are authorized to use SAP2000 Ultimate (for instructional use) while you are enrolled in, or employed by, NC State.
Your acceptance of this agreement indicates that you understand and will comply with the requirements of the SAP2000 Ultimate license:
I will not give this download to anyone else nor install it on anyone else's computer for them.
I understand that redistribution of this software is strictly prohibited and is a violation of the terms and conditions of the license agreement and the NC State University Computing Policy.
I understand that I am licensed to use this software for academic coursework and teaching only, and will not use this software for commercial purposes.
I will discontinue use of SAP2000 Ultimate (for instructional use), and will uninstall the software, when I leave NC State.
