General Notes
- The College of Engineering has a Class Kit License (CKL) for COMSOL. Our license includes 30 concurrent seats of the main COMSOL Multiphysics software, plus 30 concurrent seats for each of the following modules:
- AC/DC Module
- CAD Import Module
- LiveLink for MATLAB
- RF Module
- Semiconductor Module
- This license is for instructional use only, and is only available via AVD. It is installed on the "EOS-Lab" AVD environment, but is only visible to students whose faculty have requested access per the below process.
- This license may not be used for research. It is only for in-class instructional use and associated homework.
- In order to gain access to COMSOL, faculty members in COE must request access for their class by emailing the ITECS Service Desk (eoshelp@ncsu.edu) with the following info:
- course name (e.g., ECE 304)
- section number
- statement that the COMSOL CKL will only be used for instruction and will not be used for research
- Upon review and approval, IT staff will then pull the class roll and grant access.
- Access has been granted for faculty and students in the following courses for Fall 2024:
- (no courses)
Alternative Version Notes
- Research licenses must be purchased by individual researchers/faculty. Contact the ITECS Service Desk for more information and latest pricing information.
