General Notes
  • The College of Engineering has a Class Kit License (CKL) for COMSOL. Our license includes 30 concurrent seats of the main COMSOL Multiphysics software, plus 30 concurrent seats for each of the following modules:
    • AC/DC Module
    • CAD Import Module
    • LiveLink for MATLAB
    • RF Module
    • Semiconductor Module
  • This license is for instructional use only, and is only available via AVD. It is installed on the "EOS-Lab" AVD environment, but is only visible to students whose faculty have requested access per the below process.
  • This license may not be used for research. It is only for in-class instructional use and associated homework.
  • In order to gain access to COMSOL, faculty members in COE must request access for their class by emailing the ITECS Service Desk ([email protected]) with the following info:
    • course name (e.g., ECE 304)
    • section number
    • statement that the COMSOL CKL will only be used for instruction and will not be used for research
  • Upon review and approval, IT staff will then pull the class roll and grant access.
  • Access has been granted for faculty and students in the following courses for Summer 2026:
    • ECE 303-051
Alternative Version Notes
  • Research licenses must be purchased by individual researchers/faculty. Contact the ITECS Service Desk for more information and latest pricing information.
