File Storage

As part of the Wolfpack community, you have access to various file storage solutions. Find the right storage option for your needs.

Commonly Used File Storage Solutions

Google Drive

Google Workspace provides individual (My Drive) or shared (Share Drive) online storage that can be accessed by multiple computing and mobile devices for individual or collaborative work.

NCSU Drive

The NCSU Drive provides a user home directory for Windows or Linux users (with a valid UnityID). This 20GB drive is supported by NC State and backed up securely.

Departmental Share (M: Drive)

A “file share” or “project share” supports members of a department or university group for file sharing and collaboration. This is provided to users of the OIT Managed Desktop or by contracted support.

OIT Research Storage

OIT Research Storage is available to any NC State researcher with an active grant or contract. The storage is designed to facilitate research and is accessible from authorized systems.
