Engineering Google Services

Engineering is updating numerous Google resources to maintain consistent naming conventions across the organization. For assistance with creating new calendars, groups or generic accounts, please contact eoshelp@ncsu.edu.

Google Generic Accounts

Standard

  • All words used in the name of the generic account should be spelled out–no abbreviations except “NC” for “North Carolina.”
  • “engr-” is the required prefix for all addresses.
  • In the address, all words following “engr-” should be separated by hyphens.
