Shawn Dunning will become COE’s new Director of IT (ITECS) effective January 3, 2022. Shawn will be joining us from the Wilson College of Textiles (WCOT), where he has served as Assistant Dean for Finance and Operations since April 2018. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Dean for Information Technology in the WCOT for ten years. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science. Shawn received his B.S. in Textile Materials Science from NC State and an MBA degree from Campbell University. Shawn brings to us a wealth of experience in the Information Technology space both within NC State and externally, and we look forward to having him join COE in this critical leadership role.
